Brothers Chris and Andrew Papazian, who owned the Roslyn Pharmacy, have died, according to the Roslyn Landmark Society.

“We are sad to inform you of the passing of brothers Chris Papazian and Andrew Papazian of the Roslyn Pharmacy,” a post from the Landmark Society said on Sunday. “May their memories and love be a blessing to their family, friends and to the Roslyn community which they served. Chris and Andrew will be missed.”

According to a tribute wall posted by the Fairchild Chapel, located in Manhasset, Chris Papazian was born on Dec. 21, 1967, and died on June 23 at 53 years old. No information was provided on the wall for Andrew. Efforts to reach family members or pharmacy representatives for comment were unavailing.

“Health issues have persisted and we will be closed until further notice,” the pharmacy’s voicemail states. “We are very sorry for the inconvenience and are so grateful for our customers’ loyalty over the years. Please keep our families in your prayers and we hope to see you again soon.”

According to a 2018 article in the Manhasset Press, Chris Papazian, a third-generation pharmacist who lived in Manhasset, opened the Roslyn Pharmacy in 2009 at 1314 Old Northern Blvd.

“One thing you learn after being in a family business for close to 100 years is if you work hard, put in your time and are loyal to your customers, your customers will in turn be loyal to you,” Chris Papazian told the Manhasset Press in 2018. “This is the main goal and focus of Roslyn Pharmacy.”

Along with owning the store, according to the article, he was a pharmacy preceptor and an adjunct professor at St. John’s University and the University of Buffalo, teaching aspiring pharmacists.
