Veronica Beard, a luxury women’s clothing brand known for feminine takes on layered outerwear, opened a store in the Americana Manhasset shopping center in early September.
The Manhasset location is Veronica Beard’s fifth store and first East Coast store outside Manhattan. The brand expanded into locations in Dallas and Los Angeles after its first store opened in New York City in 2016.
The company’s founders are sisters-in-law both named Veronica. They launched Veronica Beard in 2010 with their Dickey Jacket, a blazer with a zip-in insert that creates a layered outerwear look. With styles ranging from hoodies to knit sweaters, dickeys add unique, interchangeable personalities to a classic blazer.
The Manhasset store offers its signature Dickey Jacket as well as Veronica Beard jeans and shoes. It also hosts accessories from other brands such as Le Specs sunglasses and Sana Jardin perfumes.
The Manhasset space is decorated with vintage furniture, copper fixtures and a pink Moroccan carpet.
“No two Veronica Beard stores will ever be exactly alike because we like to design each with its regional location in mind,” said co-founder Veronica Swanson Beard in a news release. “The Americana Manhasset store is an extension of our world, and we knew this would be the perfect location for our next store since many of our customers in this area already consider it to be their primary shopping destination.”
The location opened on Sept. 7. It joins other high-end retail at Americana Manhasset including 43 other women’s fashion stores such as Rag & Bone and Tory Burch. It directly neighbors Anne Fontaine and Morgenthal Frederics.
“Americana Manhasset is both a luxurious and unique shopping destination,” said co-founder Veronica Miele Beard in a news release. “It is truly an honor to join the other retail stores here.”
