Manhasset-Great Neck Camera club hosts high school photography contest

The Manhasset-Great Neck Camera Club’s next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Manhasset Public Library on Onderdonk Ave.

This meeting will be a presentation meeting and is a great way to get to know the club.

There will be a presentation on photography: “Safari throughout the Northwest including post processing with HDR.”

Mike DiRienzo will be presenting his work. DiRienzo is an outstanding photographer who specializes in landscapes.

This will be interesting an instructive. All are welcome and it is free to attend.

The club is also hosting their annual Zirinsky Awards photography competition.

The digital photography contest is open to all Nassau County high school students.

Entries will be judged on a combination of mastery of the basic rules of photography, technical ability, originality, stylistic approach, expression of imagination and inferred beauty, emotion or power.

First, second, and third place awards will be presented at the club’s annual awards night dinner.
