Margarita’s Cafe, a Mexican restaurant chain with nine locations across Nassau and Suffolk counties, is planning a new location in Manorhaven.

The date of opening is undetermined because the restaurant still needs approvals, according to a representative at The Cuban, another a Cuban restaurant affiliated with the Margarita’s Cafe.

The location, at 95 Manorhaven Blvd., is listed on the Margarita’s Cafe website and on a Facebook page for the expected location.

A coming soon sign with the restaurant’s logo has been posted on the face of the restaurant for over a year, as shown in an image posted on Google Maps from June 2018.

Bill Rogel, Manorhaven’s superintendent of buildings, said he still needs to conduct a final inspection of the restaurant, which he hadn’t been called in for by the owners yet.

The popular Mexican restaurant is known for its tableside guacamole, margarita deals and authentic Mexican cuisine, and serves tapas, lunch and dinner.

Appetizers at the chain range in price from $8.95 to $11.95 with an appetizer sampler priced at $20.95. Dinner entrees – which include enchiladas, chimichangas, fajitas, chicken, steak and seafood, among many other options – range from $15.95 to $30.95.

Efforts to reach William Martinez, the owner of the restaurant chain, were unavailing.
