First grade students at Meadow Drive School in the Mineola Union Free School District have been following the Mineola MUSTANG acronym to become changemakers. Working in teams, students marveled about a problem, understood the problem, and shared it with their group, who then tinkered to make a prototype and then analyzed and navigated the prototype for any needed changes. In the final step, students used Legos to generate their finished creations, which were based on the theme of creating a change in the world.
