Meadow Drive School brings the classroom outside

The Island Now

Teachers and students at Meadow Drive School in the Mineola Union Free School District are enjoying the outdoors during the school’s literacy blocks. Teachers are using the school’s outdoor spaces, like the courtyard, to have their students participate in different literacy activities such as reading and writing.

Students enjoy being able to step outside the typical classroom setting for a new learning experience.
