A basketball coach who worked with students in the Roslyn school district outside of school hours has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an email from Superintendent Alison Brown.

“Several concerned parents in our district have reached out to let me know that a basketball coach who has been training several of our Roslyn students outside of school has tested positive,” Brown wrote.

Brown did not reveal the name of the coach or the age range of the students who worked with the coach in the Jan. 21 email.

The East Williston and New Hyde Park-Garden City Park school districts, with 34 cases each, and the Floral Park-Bellerose school district, with 21 cases, accounted for 89 cases.
