Mothers’ Group of Manhasset, a membership organization in Manhasset dedicated to supporting mothers in the community through every facet of motherhood, recently hosted two events to kick off the fall season, including its annual Ladies’ Kick-Off event and Fall Festival.

On September 23, Mothers’ Group of Manhasset hosted its Kick-Off “Mom’s Night Out” which took place on a lovely September evening at one if its members’ homes. Over 70 Manhasset moms gathered for an outdoor evening of live music, Hor d’ourves, and cocktails. Moms who attended the event had the opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new moms in town and hear more about the group’s host of offerings. During the evening, guests enjoyed music by Pluckd Studio (@pluckd.studio) and sampled food from local businesses such as Pearl East. Other Manhasset businesses, including For Five (@forfive), De Lis Salon & Spa (@delissalon), ByTina Design (@bytinadesign), Manhasset Monogram (@manhassetmonogram), CandiGrams (@cand1grams), Marielle_NY (@mariellesny), Maiden + Liberty wine (@maiden_liberty) and A Slice of Julieanne Cookies donated raffle items for the evening.

“Our Kick-Off event couldn’t have gone any better,” said Jaime Lambros, President of the Mothers’ Group of Manhasset. “It was such a great opportunity to bring together mothers in our community to reconnect after last year when everything was on pause. This event really marked the start of what will be a very exciting year for us.”

Following a successful Kick-Off event, the Group held its annual Fall Festival at The Onderdonk House on October 16. More than 200 people attended the outdoor Festival which included live entertainment; face painting; pumpkin decorating; fall crafts and snacks; pony wagon rides; a bounce house; cotton candy; and balloon animals.

“It was a wonderful afternoon for Manhasset families to gather on a warm, sunny day to enjoy a host of fall activities and we couldn’t be happier with how many parents and their children turned out to enjoy this fun-filled event we hold every October,” said Lambros. “It was a huge success and we can’t wait to repeat it again next year.”

On October 24, the Mothers’ Group of Manhasset also served as a proud sponsor of Halloween on Plandome, a Manhasset Chamber of Commerce event. The event kicked off at Mary Jane Davies Park with magicians, slime making, candy and fun local giveaways. Children dressed in costume and gathered at the park before trick-or-treating at local businesses along Plandome Road.

The Mothers’ Group of Manhasset is planning several upcoming events for the remainder of 2021, including its first-annual Ladies’ Tennis Scrambles which will take place on November 6 at Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club. Additionally, members will enjoy a Ladies’ Mayweather fitness class at Mayweather Boxing + Fitness  in Manhasset on November 7, a Children’s Movie Night on November 11, as well as a children’s holiday event and its annual Ladies’ Cookie Exchange during the month of December (dates TBC). The Group also organizes regular Moms’ Night Outs, Couples’ Events, Playgroups, Mom Meet Ups, and a Ladies’ Monthly Book Club.
