The Port Washington School District recently hosted motivational speaker, Gian Paul Gonzalez, at Paul D. Schreiber High School. Gonzalez spoke with faculty and staff about commitment and the importance of being “all-in” when it comes to helping and guiding every student. Gonzalez, the founder of the Hope & Future Foundation, has spoken with multiple athletic teams, educational institutions, and corporate and non-profit organizations throughout the nation about the power of commitment — or, being “all in.”

Educators walked away from the presentation with coins sporting a Viking logo on one side, and Gonzalez’s “all in” on the other to remind them of their dedication to the students throughout the upcoming school year. Gonzalez’s presentation of empowering images and analogies feeds into the district’s mission to ensure that all children in the district are given the attention and care they need. Through his foundation, Gian Gonzalez emphasizes hope for each child in all aspects of life — personally, academically, socially and economically — through the involvement in extracurricular activities and community-wide opportunities.
