Police arrested a Queens woman on Friday who is accused of abusing a baby she was caring for in Searingtown.

Stacy Sakeran, 57, was seen on the family’s surveillance video slapping and forcefully moving the two-week-old girl on two separate occasions, Nassau County police said.

The girl’s father heard the child cry out in pain at 1:40 a.m. on June 2, while Sakeran was in the house caring for her, police said.

The parents checked footage from a camera in the baby’s room and saw Sakeran slapping the girl in the face and “forcefully” moving her, police said.

The parents reviewed surveillance video from previous days and saw Sakeran yelling at the girl and hitting her with an open hand on May 30, police said.

Police came to the home and arrested Sakeran at 4:10 a.m. on Friday.

Sakeran pleaded not guilty at First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday to two counts each of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Newsday reported.

A criminal complaint says that Sakeran admitted to slapping the baby when police questioned her, according to Newsday.

Records of the charges against Sakeran were not immediately available online. Newsday reported that she and her attorney, a public defender, declined to comment after her arraignment.

Sibi John, the baby’s father, told Newsday last week that his daughter was not hurt. Sakeran may have gotten upset while trying to feed the girl, John told Newsday.

Lullaby Services, the nanny agency that employed Sakeran, did not return a phone call seeking comment on Monday.

The company’s owner, Josephine Crouch, told Newsday that Sakeran was placed on the agency’s nanny referral list two months ago after passing a background check and having her references confirmed.
