New Hyde Park Memorial seniors tutor to raise money for those in need

The Island Now

Since early September, New Hyde Park Memorial High School seniors Gayathri Suresh and Olivia Wong have been tutoring students from fifth through 10th grade in subjects such as math and science, as well as violin.

Together, Suresh and Wong tutored for more than 85 hours and raised $1,010. During the weekend of Nov. 21, they donated all the proceeds to Long Island Harvest to help families in need enjoy the upcoming holidays.
