The Lake Success Shopping Center’s Sears store will close in November as part of a round of 33 Sears and 13 Kmart store closures across the country, Sears Holdings Corp. has  announced.

The company said the New Hyde Park store, located at 1400 Union Turnpike, was “unprofitable” along with the others that will soon close their doors.

“We continue to evaluate our network of stores, which is a critical component to our integrated retail transformation, and will make further adjustments as needed,” the company said in an announcement.

Liquidation sales for the closing stores will begin as early as Thursday, the company announced.

Eligible employees will receive severance and can apply for open positions at other store locations, the company said.

A Kmart in Riverhead was also among the recent round of closings.

In April, a Sears in Hicksville closed as part of a round of 103 store closures the company announced in January.

In May, the company announced another 48 Sears and 15 Kmarts would close in September.

A Garden City Sears, located at 1111 Franklin Ave., remains open, according to company announcements.

Sears sales have plunged 60 percent since 2010, its last profitable year, and company has lost $11.2 billion since then, according to CNN Money.
