Two New Jersey juveniles were arrested in Roslyn Heights in connection with a stolen vehicle on Saturday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Officials said a 50-year-old man from Syosset, whose name was not disclosed by police, reported his $160,0000 gray Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG stolen from his home on Saturday before 5 p.m. After the vehicle was reported stolen, the car’s navigation system was activated, officials said.

According to a police news release, the vehicle traveled in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Officials from the county’s Aviation Unit, K-9 Unit, Bureau of Special Operations and Highway Patrol aided in locating the vehicle, which they ultimately found in Roslyn Heights.

Officials said officers from the county’s Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle on Old Powerhouse Road near Vista Road in Roslyn Heights and were able to arrest the 15- and 16-year-old juveniles just before midnight on Saturday.

Each of the unnamed teenagers was charged with one count of criminal possession of stolen property in the second degree. Officials said they were released on an appearance ticket returnable on July 13 to Nassau County Family Court in Westbury.

Efforts to reach law enforcement officials for more details on the incident were unavailing.
