The Sewanhaka Central High School District held its 58th annual Music and Art Festival, featuring the district band, orchestra and chorus and artwork from the district’s talented art students, in the recently renovated Floral Park Memorial auditorium on Feb. 7.
The festival ensembles were conducted by Mr. Glen Johnson from Malverne High School, Mrs. Megan Messina from Mineola High School and Mrs. Megan Zarchy from the Oceanside School District. The festival’s honoree was Superintendent Dr. Ralph Ferrie for his years of dedicated service to the district’s students.
