Officers from Nassau County’s Third Squad are investigating an alleged robbery that occurred at a Mobil gas station in Bellerose Terrace on Thursday.

According to detectives, two black males in their 20s walked into the Mobil at 240-40 Jericho Turnpike at 11:30 p.m.  One of the men allegedly walked behind the counter and displayed a black handgun to a 41-year-old male employee. The second man, officials said, took out a knife and went to the cash register and removed an unknown amount of cash.

The man who allegedly displayed the black handgun is described by officials as a black male in his 20s, 6-foot-1 and weighing roughly 180 pounds.  Officials said he has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, white T-shirt, gray jogging pants, gray sneakers and a black mask.

The second man, officials said, is described as a black male in his 20s, 5-foot-10 and weighing roughly 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, white T-shirt, gray jogging pants, gray sneakers and a black mask.

Both subjects ran out the front door and fled on foot northbound on 241st Street, officials said. No injuries were reported at the scene, and officials said, the investigation is ongoing.

Efforts to reach a representative from the Mobil station for comment were unavailing.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspects to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS or to contact the Third Squad at 516-573-6353, where all callers will remain anonymous.
