When I heard that Jaclyn O’Donohue was running for Board of Education Trustee, my immediate response was ‘It’s about time!’ Knowing how Jackie works and her dedication to making things better for the kids of the Floral Park-Bellerose School District, it was a no-brainer that she’s the right person for the position.
My experience as her vice president of The Wednesday Mother’s Club for two years awarded me the opportunity to see firsthand how much time, energy, and work she puts into anything she takes on.
Her approach is listening to the needs of the community and finding what works best, not necessarily what was always done. She appreciates and fosters tradition, while simultaneously encouraging change if necessary to make us better.
Jackie is an excellent collaborator with both parents and administration, always willing to do the work needed to make things happen. There is no doubt in my mind that Jaclyn O’Donohue was made for this position and will do amazing things for our children if given the opportunity.
