2 men rob cell phone store in Albertson

The Island Now

Two men wearing ski masks broke into a Cellular Next store in Albertson late last Saturday night and stole a cache of cell phones, Nassau County Police reported.

Nassau County Police detectives said police officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm at Cellular Next at 175 I.U. Willets Road on July 27 at 9:55 p.m. and found the rear glass door smashed in and the lock on the bay door damaged. An undetermined number of cellular telephones were stolen by the duo, according to the police, who said no cash was taken from the store.

An investigation revealed two males wearing ski masks, gloves, and dark clothing were observed on surveillance cameras, repositioning the cameras.

Police said a third camera showed a white Nissan Maxima model between 1995-2000, which was apparently the burglars’ vehicle

Detectives ask anyone with any information about this burglary to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
