The New Hyde Park BU10 Barca Lions team commenced the 2012 LIJS League season with play on a very windy afternoon at Harbor Links Fields in Port Washington Saturday, Sept. 8. The Barca Lions showed great passing skills and achieved a 6-2 win against Elmont.
During the first half, Anthony Mangiaracina scored for the Barca Lions. At the half, the game was tied 1-1.
The Barca Lions poured it on during the second period with goals by Senan Price, A.J. Melgarejo, Daniel Raziyev, Anthony Mangiaracina, and Stephen Perno.
Goalie Andrew Liu was spectacular and had a total of four saves.
