Disoriented Brooklyn man found in Old Westbury

Nassau County police are asking for help identifying a disoriented older man found wandering the streets of Old Westbury late Friday night.

According to a release, the man appeared to be about 75 years old and was wearing a beige button down shirt, khaki shorts, blue socks, white slip-on shoes and black prescription glasses when he was found around 10 p.m. on Jericho Turnpike and Westbury Lane.

The unidentified man speaks Spanish and appears to have dementia and diabetes. Police said he was taken to Syosset Hospital for evaluation.

UPDATE

The Missing Persons Squad reported the man has been identified as Efraim Rivera from Brooklyn.
