A little sleet and snow couldn’t stop Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty from opening its Great Neck office on Thursday, with a variety of people celebrating the company’s latest expansion.

Samuel Marcus, the sales manager of the office, said the opening was attended by officials like Great Neck Plaza Mayor Jean Celender, fellow real estate agents, builders and both past and possible future clients.

“The opening was really pretty great. I think it was a huge success even with the weather,” Marcus said, adding that he found it “very encouraging.”

Daniel Gale’s new office is located in Great Neck Plaza at 42B Middle Neck Road, which was once home to the iconic Camp & Campus clothing store. The location underwent a complete overhaul and redesign, integrating glass, steel and tiles, high speed internet throughout, and other features, Marcus said.

“We ended up doing much more of a renovation and buildout than we originally expected,” Marcus said.

The Great Neck office joins the organization’s more than two dozen other offices, including two in Manhasset, one in Greenvale and one in Port Washington. The realty group has also expanded into Queens, Rockville Centre and Westhampton Beach.

Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty currently has 900 sales associates across the Nassau, Suffolk and Queens area, according to its website, and is an “exclusive affiliate” of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The Great Neck office currently has 17 agents, Marcus said, but he expects “those numbers to double and triple very quickly in the very near future.”

Marcus said his mission for the Great Neck office is to let the community know about what Daniel Gale does differently and that it has “a reach that goes well beyond Great Neck.”

Asked about the “Daniel Gale way,” Marcus said it boils down to quality.

“We take real pride in making sure that our agents are the top agents in the area,” Marcus said. “They are the best trained agents on Long Island and everything we do, we do it with quality.”
