Good Samaritans show quality of community

The Island Now

Walking down five flights of stairs is nothing to most people, but for me, having had a stroke five years ago which left me with no balance whatsoever; its an impossibility.

So when I was on the 5th floor of a Cuttermill Road office building and all the power suddenly failed, I wasn’t exactly filled with joy.

However, with the help of the director of the Signature Bank, and the very rapid response from the vigilant fire department, I was carried down safely by two very capable and charming firemen.

I am so happy to live in such a wonderful community. I deeply thank those gentlemen who came to my rescue.
