For the fourth straight year, young children flocked to the summer program at Little Sprouts Preschool. The program, housed in the Christ Lutheran Church, is specifically geared toward children aged 3 to 5 years old.
Daily activities included outdoor play, arts and crafts, music and movement, hands-on snacks and recipes, stories and games in the gym. In addition, students were treated to water balloon tosses, pinatas, car washes, egg hunts and theme-based prizes each week.
The program ran for seven weeks from mid-June to early August. Interactive themes included dinosaurs, outer space, wild west, under the sea and a circus week featuring a mini carnival and a visit from the ice cream truck.
Little Sprouts runs morning and afternoon toddler, nursery and pre-K classes. There are still some openings for the current school year. For information, call the school at (516) 746-4889.
