A Glen Cove man, who was driving with three children under the age of 15, was arrested in East Hills on Sunday for driving while intoxicated, Nassau County Police said.
Police said Alex R. Majano, 38, was observed drifting across lanes on the Long Island Expressway at Exit 34 by a highway patrol officer at 5:20 a.m.
Majano, who was driving a 2011 Toyota Sienna, was stopped at North Service Road and Glen Cove Road after he got off the highway at Exit 39.
He was charged with three counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, two counts of DWI and five traffic violations.
The children were released to a family member, police said.
Majano will be arraigned in Monday, April 25 in First District Court 99 Main St. in Hempstead.
