A man lured by a phony car ad on Craigslist was hit on the head with a handgun and robbed Saturday in Roslyn Heights, police said.

Detectives said the man, 36 had arranged a meeting in front of a home on Carlyle Place with a person who had offered a car on Craigslist that he was interested in purchasing.

After realizing there was no car, detectives said, the man was approached by two unknown men.

One of the men — who detectives describe as black, six feet tall, 150 pounds with a medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants — attempted to distract the 36-year-old, detectives said.

The other man pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded cash, detectives said.

The second man hit the would-be car buyer in the head with the handgun and both assailants fled on foot east on Willow Street with an undetermined amount of cash, a cell phone and  black wallet.

The would-be car buyer refused medical attention at the scene, detectives said.

Police said no further information is available at this time.
