A man spent more than $5,000 at Bloomingdale’s using a credit card he stole from a Mineola woman’s car Tuesday evening, Nassau County police said.

The unidentified man broke the window on the 65-year-old woman’s 2016 Toyota Highlander while it was parked on Harrison Avenue at 6:50 p.m., police said.

He took her purse containing cash, credit cards and personal papers, then blew her money on clothes at the department store in Roosevelt Field Mall, police said.

Surveillance video shows the man at a cash register with a handful of shopping bags.

He appears to be a light-skinned man with dark facial hair wearing gray pants, a black hat and a black T-shirt bearing the New York Yankees logo.

Anyone with information about the crime can call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477 to leave an anonymous tip.
