Mineola pizzeria windows shot at, police say

Shots were fired into a Mineola pizzeria’s windows shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Third Precinct officers found the front windows of Luigi’s Pizzeria, located at 528 Jericho Turnpike, were shattered after responding to a call that shots were fired in the vicinity of Beebe Road at 12:28 a.m., police said.

Several shell casings were found inside the pizzeria and in the parking lot next to it, police said.

The owner of Luigi’s Pizzeria was not immediately available for comment Wednesday morning.
