New Hyde Park’s annual Italian Feast, hosted by Cellini Lodge No. 2206 of the Order Sons of Italy in America, will feature more Italian music this year.

“The entertainment is really good this year,” Anthony Calabro, the festival’s chairman, said. “They’re all really top-notch.”

The festival will run from Aug. 23 to 27 at Michael J. Tully Park in New Hyde Park. It is open from 6 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 3 to 11 p.m. on Saturday; and 3 to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The festival features a variety of music, “the best zeppoles on Long Island,” a firework display and carnival rides among other things.

“We have a reputation for providing a quality event and from families with young children to seniors, all find a good time when they walk through the front gate,” Carole Lynn Marino, the Cellini Lodge corresponding secretary, said.

On Wednesday, the festival’s attendees will get an Italian duo: the band Fulvio & Sal. On Thursday they’ll hear from a longtime returner, Risky Business.

On Friday, Rewind, which includes Calabro, will play. On Saturday, Long Island residents will get an Italian serenade from Simona De Rosa in the afternoon and more Italian music from Don Felice in the evening.

On Sunday afternoon, DJ Chris will appear and then Sound Chasers will be the festival’s closing act on Sunday evening.

The festival will also feature a fireworks display Saturday evening, and a gambling tent with black jack and three-card poker.

Cellini Lodge No. 2206 is the local chapter of the Order Sons of Italy, a national organization that aims to preserve and educate the public about Italian culture.

Admission to the festival is $1 for adults and children older than 8. Parking is free. Admission will be free and pasta will be half-price on Sunday for Community Appreciation Day.
