Though there were no contested elections in any village in Roslyn this year, voters still went to the polls Tuesday to re-elect their village government leaders.

In Roslyn Harbor, Mayor David Mandell and Trustee Sandy Quentzell were elected to the remainder of the terms each were appointed to after Mayor Yvette Edidin and Trustee Cheryl Mora resigned from office late last year.

Mandell received 34 votes and Quentzell earned 28, each with no write-in votes.

In Roslyn Estates, Mayor Jeffrey Schwartzberg, Trustee Jeffrey Lindenbaum and Justice Seymour Reisman were each re-elected to office. Eyal Isaac was elected to the trustee position left by the departed Stacy Carus.

Schwartzberg received 60 votes for mayor, with residents Susan Moschae and Ed Adler as well as current Trustee Sandy Siff each receiving one write-in vote.

Lindenbaum received 61 votes, Reisman had 62, and Isaac received 57 votes in his election to the vacant seat.

There were no write-in votes for the Village of Roslyn, with incumbent Mayor John Durkin receiving 68 votes in his re-election, Trustee Marta Genovese garnering 54 votes, and newcomer Sarah Oral, formerly of the village planning board, receiving 55 votes in filling the open trustee position left by Lisa Aberle.

The Village of North Hills will not hold its elections until June, and the Village of East Hills had no positions up for election this year.
