Nassau County police and local fire companies responded to a small fire at an East Hills shopping center on Tuesday at 5:03 p.m., a department public information officer said.

The incident was at a construction site at 441 Glen Cove Road, the location of What Goes Around Comes Around, a vintage clothing store.

There were no injuries, police said.

Fire trucks lined Glen Cove Road and Old Westbury Road, according to a bystander.

The vintage clothing store is at the corner of the shopping center, which borders a Mobil gas station. The shopping center also includes Kitchen Kabaret, CVS, Chase bank and clothing stores Ruby and Jenna and Steven Dann.

Roslyn Rescue Hook and Ladder responded and other companies, including Carle Place Fire Department, gave additional assistance.

“By the time we got there the fire was already knocked down,” said Carle Place firefighter Charlie Giblin.

What Goes Around Comes Around declined to comment on the incident.

Roslyn Rescue Hook and Ladder was not immediately available for comment Wednesday morning.
