A Franklin Square bank was robbed early Thursday evening as two men approached tellers, one brandishing a gun, and demanded cash, Nassau County police said.

The two suspects – described as black 18-23-year-old males each wearing a knit cap, bandana, black ski mask, gray or white pullover sweatshirt with black lettering and black sweatpants – entered the Chase bank at 654 Franklin Avenue at around 5:45 p.m. and approached separate tellers, police said.

They were handed an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled out a back door and into the parking lot, police said.

There were six employees and four customers at the bank during the robbery, police said. There were no reported injuries.

Police have requested that anyone with information regarding the robbery contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Calls will remain anonymous.
