Roslyn Board of Education Trustees Steven Litvack and Bruce Valauri are running for re-election unopposed.

Their names will be on the May 21 ballot along with the Roslyn school district’s and Bryant Library’s proposed budgets.

Valauri is running for his fourth three-year term. Litvack has been on the board for 10 and a half years. In 2016, they were both unopposed.

“They’re both thrilled to be serving again,” said Joseph Dragone, the district’s assistant superintendent of business and administration.

Valauri is a prosthodontist and told Blank Slate Media during his last campaign that he moved to Roslyn from Manhattan in 2004 because of the school district. Serving on the board is one of the most fulfilling things he’s ever done, he said.

Litvack is the president of Jersey College, which specializes in nursing education and has two campuses in New Jersey and four in Florida.

He earned degrees in finance and entrepreneurial management at the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree at Harvard University.

He has worked in financial consulting and created his own company, he told the Roslyn Times in 2016.

His three children have attended Roslyn schools, as have Litvack’s twin daughters.
