A suspicious fire broke out at Manorhaven Beach Park Pool early Saturday morning at a shed owned by Kostal Paddle.

Detectives said they responded to a call at 4:57 a.m. and the Port Washington Fire Department arrived on the scene to extinguish the fire, which resulted in no injuries.

The county’s arson/bomb squad was called to the scene to investigate and determined the fire to be suspicious.

Residents Forward’s scheduled bay clean-up on Monday was postponed due to the unexpected fire. Kostal Paddle and Long Island Boat Rentals loan free paddleboards, kayaks and boats for the clean-up.

Nassau County detectives ask anyone with information to reach out to Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous.

The Port Washington Fire Department could not be reached for comment.
