A motorist who fled the scene after getting into a collision in Roslyn late Friday was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, police said.

The crash occurred at Northern Boulevard and Sinclair Martin Drive at 7:20 p.m., according to the Nassau County Police Department.

After scanning the area for the vehicle that left the accident site, police found it less than a mile away on Forest Drive.

Angelone, 47, sustained injuries from airbags that deployed during the crash and was taken to a local hospital. The individuals in the vehicle she collided with also sustained injuries and were brought to a hospital.

In addition to driving while intoxicated, Angelone was charged with reckless endangerment, assault, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an incident with an injury and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of at least 1 percent – with 0.8 percent the base line for DWI cases, police said.
