A motorist who fled the scene after getting into a collision in Roslyn late Friday was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, police said.

After scanning the area for the vehicle that left the accident site, police found it less than a mile away on Forest Drive.

In addition to driving while intoxicated, Angelone was charged with reckless endangerment, assault, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an incident with an injury and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level of at least 1 percent – with 0.8 percent the base line for DWI cases, police said.
