North Shore Animal League America celebrates local dog park opening

The Island Now

North Shore Animal League America will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of LaRocca Dog Park on the Animal League America campus on Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. This upgraded exercise and play space was graciously donated through the generosity of the LaRocca Family.

The yard has been renovated to maximize the space and allow dogs and puppies a safe, pristine area in which to interact, hold meet and greets and play. The newly designed dog park is almost 3,500 square feet of fenced-in, level, artificial turf with brick seating areas along the perimeter which can be utilized in all seasons.

This canine playground makeover will help the physical and emotional well-being of the animals as the staff at NSALA ready them to be adopted into responsible, loving homes.  LaRocca Dog Park will help NSALA’s mission to rescue, nurture and adopt animals in need.
