North Shore Hebrew Academy students, faculty, administration and parents marched up Fifth Avenue on Sunday, June 3 as participants in the annual Celebrate Israel Parade.

NSHA marched behind New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo who served as deputy grand marshal of the parade as well as Councilwoman Anna Kaplan.

The theme of this year’s parade was Sababa at 70, recognizing the innovation and accomplishments of Israel on its momentous seventieth anniversary of the country’s independence. NSHA students created original artwork banners celebrating the theme.
