From Oct. 23 through Oct. 31, North Shore Middle School students, faculty and staff as well as students across the North Shore School District recognized Red Ribbon Week.

Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country.

“We participated in activities to help support our fight against drug and alcohol abuse, including our E3 Squad team challenge, wearing red in support of the cause, making PSA’s in 8th grade health, and signing the pledge to be healthy and drug free before entering our Red Ribbon Week photo booth,” teacher Karen Finn said.

In addition, the Students Against Destructive Decisions club had been instrumental in helping to spread the word about making safe, healthy choices, and working to prevent drug and alcohol use.
