NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Town of North Hempstead – Board of Zoning Appeals
Pursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Town of North Hempstead, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Zoning Appeals of said Town will conduct a Zoom meeting, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 10:00am as permitted by the suspension of the NYS Open Meetings Law to consider any matters that may properly be heard by said Board, and will hold a public hearing on said date to consider applications and appeals.
The following cases will be called at said public hearing.
APPEAL #21051 – Ping Chung; 1010 North 3rd Street, New Hyde Park; Section 8, Block 4, Lot 38; Zoned: Residence-C.
Variances from ßß70-100.2(A)(4)(b), 70-49, 70-208(F) and 70-229.A and special exception from ß70-231 to legalize fencing that is too tall, and to legalize a garage addition and roofed over patio on a detached garage that is too wide and is larger than the overall permitted size on a non-conforming property and which does not comply with a prior BZA decision (Appeal #20763).
APPEAL #21052ñ Ray Rashead; 100 South Street., New Hyde Park; Section 9, Block 91, Lot 61, Zoned Residence-B
Variance ß 70-40.B to construct a second story addition too close to a street (secondary front property line)
APPEAL #21053 – Balvinder Singh; 16 Nassau Drive, New Hyde Park; Section 9, Block 580. Lot 6; Zoned: Residence-B.
Variances from ßß70-39.B, 70-40.C, 70-41.A and 70-42 to construct a two story portico that is too close to the street, to construct a second story addition that is larger than permitted, with total side yards less than permitted, and to legalize a deck in a rear yard which is too close to the rear property line and with total side yards less than permitted.
APPEAL #21055 ñ Jorge Pincay; 1 Third Ave., Garden City Park; Section 33, Block 120, Lot 2205, Zoned Residence-C
Variances ßß 28-3 and 70-51(H) to legalize a finished cellar with no interior access to the cellar, and an exterior cellar entrance too close to a property line with no horizontal grating over the entrance.

Written comments must be received 60 minutes prior to the meeting. Questions and/or comments which are timely submitted will be accepted and made a part of the record.
