On Tuesday, over 2 million New Yorkers resoundingly elected me to serve as your state comptroller for another four years.
I want to thank everyone – from the countless volunteers; to my friends in labor; to my family and friends – for their invaluable support.
I also truly appreciate the support from the Democratic, Working Families and Independence parties, I could not have done this without you.
As we move forward, I pledge to all New Yorkers that I will continue to be the independent watchdog you need in Albany, to fight for you and your family every day.
I will keep a close eye on every dollar, and I will fiercely defend the taxpayers of this state against waste and corruption.
I will continue to do everything in my power to protect the retirement benefits of more than 1 million New Yorkers who depend on our pension system for retirement security.
So again, to all New Yorkers, to all our volunteers, to all our supporters, thank you. I will give you my best every day.
