Readers Write: Bral has right focus, best answers

The Island Now

Prior to elections, individuals who challenge incumbents often use their personal or political success stories as their platform.

With no prior political experience, a challenger will resort to campaign promises as his main platform – promises that he feels will be better than the incumbents.

In a flyer that was sent out by mayoral candidate James Wu, he chose a platform irrelevant to the responsibilities of a mayor.  His chosen campaign agenda is “Support Our Schools.”  This is not what falls under the responsibilities of a mayor, nor is it about improving our village.

Mayor Bral actively supports our schools and accomplishes the job of running the village, fixing our roads, getting grants which have improved our village by installing eco-friendly lights, organizing safety talks such as the one provided by the Nassau County Police Department officers, all while keeping our tax rate flat.

He works collaboratively with residents and holds welcoming village meetings.

Of note, if you do a search for Mayor Bral you will find that he is an honest man who is serving his fellow citizens in many capacities.  He has nothing in his past to hide.  He, like the village he runs, is transparent.
