Readers Write: Ehrbar’s slate offers continued progress

The Island Now

It is said often but always rings true, Williston Park is truly a special place to live.

The neighbors are friendly, and it has a true small-town feel. This doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through hard work and effort.

People who love this place volunteer for events above and beyond their job descriptions. Mayor Paul Ehrbar, Kevin Rhynne and Bill O’Brien embody that spirit of volunteerism.

They worked tirelessly to refurbish Kelleher Field, Henninger Park and Village Hall. They placed kiosks around town that advertise all the good things that are going on around the village.

They have developed quality relationships with the Nassau County Police Department as well as state and local legislators.

More important than their list of achievements is the kindness, honesty and integrity each of these men employs.

It has been a pleasure bringing events to our community that bring us together. The concerts, holiday celebrations, Belmont, and Fall Festival all happen because of the support and leadership of the board.

There is a ton of tiny details that go into each of these outings and the board has been there every step of the way.

We look forward to continuing our work with Williston Park Recreation and we ask you to stand with us on March 20. We will be voting for the Integrity Party.

Thank you to Paul Ehrbar, Kevin Rhynne, Kevin Kiley and Bill O’Brien for all that you do for our village.
