Readers Write: Katz will fight Covid-19 in Great Neck Plaza

The Island Now

In the last week’s Great Neck News there was an article titled ”GNP needs strong Covid-19 policy.”

It is clear from the article that the new candidate, Leonard Katz, is a responsible and conscientious mayoral candidate who cares for the health of the residents of the village by recruiting a health commissioner to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.

When it comes to COVID-19 infections, the current mayor of Great Neck Plaza and her administrations have failed their residents, especially, the elderly who reside in the assisted living facilities.

The current village administration has acted neglectfully as the rate of infection (percentage of COVID-19 individuals) is the highest on the peninsula, more than 3 percent.  The adjacent village of Great Neck Estates has half of the rate at 1.5 percent.

I recommend all the voters to vote for Leonard Katz and his team on Sept. 15.
