Dear Friends and Neighbors:
I wish to publicly extend my sincere thanks to all those who participated in the recent Village of Munsey Park election.
I commend all the voters and all the candidates for their robust involvement in the electoral process. It is demonstrative of the high level of care and appreciation we all hold for the village we call home.
To my opponents, I thank you for your vigorous participation, and for illuminating those voices expressing views which they contended the village was not adequately addressing.
Going forward, we must all work together towards the continued growth and prosperity of our community. I look forward to working with all interested parties to address the concerns of all residents.
I thank my fellow elected officials, Trustee Noone and Village Justice Turano, for their efforts during this important campaign, and I wish them continued success. I eagerly await the opportunity to work with Trustee Noone and the rest of the board during my term.
Finally, I wish to express my deepest thanks to all who voted, especially my friends, for their support and encouragement during the course of this election.
I hold your participation in the democratic process in the highest esteem, and I place inestimable value on your voices and concerns. Please be assured that I will endeavor mightily to live up to the trust and confidence that you have so graciously placed in me.
I have heard you, and I pledge to continue to listen to all reasonable points of view and to act in the best interests of our community as a whole.
In his timeless work, “Democracy in America, the Frenchman Alexis de Tocqueville declared that “[i]t is at the local level that the strength of a free people lies,” and that local government is a font of liberty, for it brings that liberty “within reach of the people.”
It was with that precept in mind that the paramount position of my campaign was villa government is here to serve you. I now look to the future, and being of service to the entire Village of Munsey Park.
