Support for Jim Gournaris and Henry Zanetti
Having been involved with the Herricks School District for over 40 years in various capacities and currently involved with the Herricks Community Fund, we feel it is important for all residents of the Herricks School District to vote in this year’s budget vote and trustee election. All voting will be done through a mail-in ballot.
There are two current board members who are up for re-election, Jim Gounaris and Henry Zanetti. We are supporting both of these individuals as it is our belief both will continue to move the district in a positive direction. While we did not support Jim in his first election, but rather his opponent Jonai Singh, over the course of his terms he has demonstrated a willingness to work with all for the continued improvement of this school district. He has been vocal and dedicated to work with all members of the Herricks community.
Henry Zanetti, a neighbor (Williston Park resident) has brought his own insight and concerns to the board, working hard to ensure that the district continues to improve educational excellence for all students attending the Herricks schools. Both bring their own individual thoughts and ideas to the board and have worked effectively as a team with the Herricks School Board. They have both been accessible to all and have a genuine concern for the district, it’s residents, and most importantly, district students.
We encourage all residents of the Herricks community to return their ballots before June 9 and vote for Jim Gounaris and Henry Zanetti
