As a resident of Great Neck Plaza, I am very interested in the current mayoral election. I have been quite concerned about the downgrade of our once beautiful and thriving Middle Neck Road.
There has been much degradation in our declining business area, which was always a large draw for our surrounding community and bustling in the past. Now there are so many vacant storefronts, and I have not seen any revitalization efforts for quite some time.
Now is the time to change our stale governing party, starting with the mayoral race. It is time to appoint a different member as chairperson to institute a new more progressive approach to community, commerce, and climate support initiatives.
