After reading the latest in a series of articles on the VA Hospital I am both sickened and angry.
I have seen first-hand the condition of the buildings falling down and unable to be used along with the closing of Beacon House which displaced 50 homeless vets living at Northport.
They thought they had found a safe haven only to be treated poorly once again.
We give billions to countries that hate us and just take our money. What happened to “kindness and charity begin at home?”
It’s time for Donald Trump to follow through on his promise to “take better care of our veterans.” Perhaps he could give up a weekend of golf in Florida and visit the Northport VA Hospital.
These men and women fought for our country and risked their lives – they deserve so much better than the treatment they are getting.
It’s time for America to step up and see that this happens.
