Readers Write: Trump not lacking time to testify

The Island Now

Now the president’s lawyers, not the most reputable available, have presented a 20-page letter of reasons why the president does not have to answer a subpoena from the most respected eminent credible and thorough investigator available.

Trump’s lawyers present the opinion that he does not have time to appear in person to answer the most serious probing questions.

Hogwash!

The president is so busy repeating lies to his supporters, in rabble-rousing rallies that show how shallow, hateful, inarticulate, unreasonable he is. That is the worst use of time ever heard by a political candidate.

Beyond that, is the proof that he wastes time shamefully, tweeting interminably, not stopping to punctuate, to spell correctly and grammatically.

Furthermore, every minute of his precious time, spent on the golf course, should be counted, as the percentage of the total time he has done his duty as president.

And the wandering on the White House lawn praising himself and promising projects that never get off the ground. And gathering crowds of pathetic staff for photo ops.

They secretly dislike him and wonder who will be the next one to be derided; undoubtedly a waste of time, as is the time spent concocting insults.

And let us not forget the time he spends assembling sycophants around the table, unashamedly listening to their insincere expressions of admiration.

Does he have the time to answer a subpoena?
