David Zielenziger will make a great library trustee. First of all, he reads voluminously and he thinks about what he’s read. That should be the first requirement of any library official, but sadly it seems those qualities are in very short supply.
And Zielenziger’s commitment to our community goes well beyond what he reads. He is tireless as both an activist and a keen observer of our society. He will be a great trustee because he will bring all of his best qualities to the job.
I look forward to a library board less concerned with individual aggrandizement and more concerned with the needs of our community. Our library has needed someone like Zielenziger for a long time, and now here’s our chance to vote him in on Oct. 29.
