The Island Now

On May 21, you, as a Port Washington resident, have the opportunity to support the efforts that the Port Washington School District employs on a daily basis. You have the opportunity to control the destiny of the direction of your school district and the value of your property.

Vote ‘yes’ on Tuesday, May 21, to support the proposed budget for the Port Washington School District. This is a budget that truly addresses the needs of a growing enrollment within the tax cap and will continue to allow the school district to flourish.

Our own involvement as parents and volunteers in the school district has allowed us to witness the tireless efforts of both our administration and faculty to make sure that our curriculum is outstanding. We must vote yes to ensure that our teachers can continue to strive for excellence.

The fiscally responsible school budget being put forth this year is a budget that will allow the district to add much needed staff to our buildings while remaining within the tax cap. Quality education is paramount when choosing a place to call home.

We are a community of families that expects and demands the very best from our teachers and our children. Parents’ Council as well as all of our school HSAs and PTAs have voted to support this budget. Please join us and vote ‘yes’ on May 21.
