Readers Write: We need Ted Rosen to run our village

The Island Now

I am writing in support of Ted Rosen who is running for Mayor of Great Neck Plaza. He is the only candidate running for mayor who has the experience to lead our Village. Ted is a person of high integrity. He has the intelligence, abilities, and character that will make him an excellent mayor.

I have known Ted for 14 years. During that time I have known him to be a truly fine, upstanding human being who is always there to help others. I can count on Ted and so can you. We need Ted Rosen to run our village.

In addition to his valuable experience in all aspects of the village government, Ted is his own person with many specific ideas as to how to make our village an even better place. Ted will work with professionals to identify and attract retail stores that will succeed in our village because they will meet the needs of local residents. He will maintain a dialogue with landlords to work with them to bring into our downtown new stores that will do well in our village. Ted will continue to work with the Business Improvement District to promote existing businesses in our village and he will seek new and creative ways to promote these businesses. Ted is committed to further improving traffic and pedestrian safety throughout our village and with Ted as our mayor, the village will do safety improvement projects on specific sites.

I also strongly support Pam Marksheid and Michael Deluccia, who are Ted’s running mates, and are running for trustee.

Pam has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Great Neck Plaza for a number of years and is the president of her cooperative. Michael is an attorney and is the president of his cooperative. He has been active in village matters and is currently serving as the chair of the Great Neck Plaza Zoning Board of Appeals. I know that both Pam and Michael are intelligent and caring people who will continue to work hard to serve the people of Great Neck Plaza.

I ask all voters in Great Neck Plaza to vote for Ted Rosen, Pam Marksheid and Michael Deluccia.
