Three men from Pennsylvania were arrested in Williston Park last week after allegedly stealing a catalytic converter in New Hyde Park, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Detectives from the Burglary Pattern Squad said police were on a routine patrol in Williston Park just before 4 a.m. on Thursday when they spotted a black BMW 4. Officials said the car fit the description of one that was used in the larceny of a catalytic converter from New Hyde Park earlier that day.

Police said they stopped the vehicle and removed the three men from Pennsylvania, 22-year-old Andy De Jesus Rosario, 22-year-old Andy Concepcion Encarnacion and 26-year-old Alexander Morales. Officials said Rosario and Morales are residents of Hazelton, while Encarnacion is a resident of Shenandoah.

Each of the men was charged with second-degree auto stripping, third-degree criminal mischief, possession of burglar tools and attempted petit larceny, according to a news release. Officials said the three were scheduled to be arraigned last Friday at First District Court in Hempstead, but efforts to reach law enforcement officials for an update on the matter were unavailing.
